Famed activist and Baltimore mayoral candidate DeRay Mckesson is **t going to be the city's 50th mayor —*unless he works a political miracle.

This is **t a bold statement. Mckesson has yet to register even 1% in the polls, local activists have turned out to be more political enemies than allies, and The New York Times*Magazine*recently ran an article with a two sentence headline, the first of which read, "DeRay Mckesson Won't Be Elected Mayor of Baltimore."
