One man's elaborate attempt to commit fraud by lying under a Mercedes-Benz butt naked, has led to his exposure on Weibo and possible jail time.

According to The Paper, the unidentified 31-year-old man from Henan, China, stopped traffic when he was spotted lying under a car on the streets of Wenling County in the Zhejiang province.

Interestingly e**ugh, witnesses also reported seeing the man getting off a bicycle and removing his clothes before lying under the car.

Initially thought to be mentally ill, local media reports said that the man was in fact sane and committing pengci — a type of fraud in China where people pretend to be hit by a car to demand financial compensation from a driver. Read more...
