Tesla Motors is voluntarily recalling 2,700 Model X SUVs over safety concerns its third-row seat could move forward during a crash.*

According to a tweet from Electrek, which*includes a screen grab of a letter sent to a Model X owner, the vehicles are being recalled due to an issue with the seat's*hinge that allows it "unexpectedly slip."*



In the recall letter, Tesla highlights that the original part was designed **t by the company but rather by a third-party supplier. Tesla has since worked with the company to design a replacement recliner, and it's currently designing a reworked third-row seat-back to accommodate the replacement recliner. Read more...
