LOS ANGELES — *Mindy Kaling is the master of the television rom-com.

But the last time we saw Hulu's The Mindy Project, Dr. Mindy Lahiri and Danny Castella** (Chris Messina)'s love story didn't look much like a fairytale.

**w, after an epic mid-season finale,*The Mindy Project is about to return to Hulu. One question remains: Will they or won't they stay together?

The trailer suggests the latter — but*Mashable chatted with showrunner Matt Warburton about the new episodes, and he*promises things won't be as bad as they seem.
