The female lead in AMC's Preacher*— played by Ruth Negga — has a colorful past. We won't spoil the particulars for those that haven't read the comics, but you can get a good sense of Tulip's background in this new clip.



Preacher*is hard to describe. In the comic, protagonist Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper on the ******) — a reverend — possesses what amounts to the voice of God. Listeners must obey any command he utters.
