Among the many revelations that have come from the release of 11.5 million documents from a Panamanian law firm*is how some highly placed global leaders and top diplomats allegedly used their wives as fronts to hide their vast wealth.

Articles stemming from the documents, k**wn as the Panama Papers and obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), have uncovered nearly 215,000 offshore shell companies and 14,153 clients tied to the law firm Mossack Fonseca. They have also linked 143 politicians, including 12 world leaders, their families and close associates to the use of tax havens to stash their cash,*launder money, duck sanctions and evade taxes.
