This is **t an April Fools' Day joke.

A Mississippi mayor confirmed on Friday that he is the man seen in a ***ting photo that was sent to a number of Hernando, Mississippi city leaders.

Mayor Chip Johnson, 49, said,*"I had a private indiscretion with an adult woman who decided to make it public. I hope it doesn't reflect on the city," city newspaper*The Commercial Appeal reported.



The mayor, who is married but "in the process of a divorce," had sent the email to the woman with the subject line,*"your mayor."*
