During an press interview for Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice — Affleck plays Batman — with*Extra TV, the*actor*confirmed the massive back tattoo of a phoenix that he was recently spotted with was "fake for a movie."*

The tattoo*caused uproar on the Internet and with two of his former loves for being, well, hideous.*

Luckily, Affleck said, the giant bird only existed for his*movie Live By Night, costarring Zoe Saldana, Scott Eastwood and Elle Fanning.

“I actually do have a number of tattoos…but I try to have them in places where you don’t have to do a lot of cover up…they get sort of addictive, tattoos, after a while,” he said. *
