Pokémon creative design director Eric Medalle died Sunday after a tree fell on his car during a storm in Seattle.

Medalle, 42, was taking his daughter for a drive near a park when high winds cause a Douglas fir to come crashing down on his SUV, according to King 5 News. He was pro**unced dead at the scene; his toddler only suffered mi**r injuries

Medalle’s daughter was pulled from the backseat of the vehicle and taken to Harborview Medical Center. Medalle is survived by his wife Carrie and two young daughters.

Medalle worked for The Pokémon Company since 2003. He had his hand in multiple projects as a graphic designer for core ****** games Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, Y, Black, White and more.
