BEST seeks Rs1,000cr from state govt
BEST has sought a viability gap funding of Rs 1,000 crore from the state government to offset the transport division loss recovery (TDLR) surcharge for the next fiscal year. As of **w, 10.5 lakh electricity consumers in the island city will have to pay TDLR (as per present rates) from April 1, as Merc is yet to take a final call on the tariff revision.
