Flight diversions are never fun, and they're even worse when the cause was preventable. Case in point: An Alaska Airlines flight on Monday was diverted when a drunk passenger got a bit too rowdy.

Alaska Airlines Flight 800 from Sacramento to Seattle landed in Portland*so an intoxicated passenger could be *******.

Crew had asked the passenger in row 9 to calm down, but that further agitated him. The pilot diverted to Portland where police met the plane, according to local station KING5.



But the other passengers, including one who tweeted about the incident, weren't completely out of luck. Alaska offered a $100 credit to a future (hopefully drunk-passenger free) flight. Read more...
