Kevin Carlock can't take Daisy Ridley to his dance, but he did get the next best thing — an Instagram shoutout.

The Davidson College student recorded a labor-intensive rap video last month, asking the Star Wars star to be his date to an athletic formal. Ambitiously, he even created his own hashtag: #DaisyToDavidson.

Unfortunately, Ridley does **t have time to attend college formals right **w, because she is busy filming one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. C'est la vie.
