Myanmar Parliament Confirms Suu Kyi Confidant as President
 

Parliament voted Tuesday to confirm Htin Kyaw, a trusted confidant of Aung San Suu Kyi, as Myanmar?s president to act as her proxy while she remains barred by a military-imposed constitution from becoming head of state.
