Student, chauffeur booked, fined Rs3,000 for misuse of car beacon
 

Levying a high penalty to deter the use of red and amber beacons on private vehicles, a magistrate court convicted a student and a chauffeur and ordered them to pay Rs3,000 each recently. The duo was caught on separate occasions in 2013 by the traffic police. The court also sentenced them to prison till the end of the day.
