LONDON — The days of catching up on BBC shows on iPlayer guilt-free will soon come to an end, as the government has vowed to ***** down on using the service without a TV license.

The so-called iPlayer "loophole" has allowed viewers in the UK to watch BBC shows on demand for free because the TV license — which costs £145.50 ($204.50) a year — only covers live TV.
