Dubai unveils model of $2.8 billion theme park insanity

Dubai is betting big on tourism.

An architectural model of Dubai Parks & Resorts, a $2.8 billion project in the Middle Eastern city-state, was unveiled on Tuesday. There will be a Taj Mahal-inspired theatre, a LEGOLAND theme park, other movie-themed attractions and more.

The attractions are scheduled to open in October of this year.
