LONDON — People took to Twitter and Facebook on Monday evening in parts of Scotland after seeing a big white flash in the sky

Reports came in from people in the Highlands, Aberdeenshire and Perth shortly after 7 p.m. GMT, with many suspecting the white light could have been caused by a meteor, STV news reports.

One eyewitness posted this video of the fireball, captured over Inverness




A**ther person, who captured the bright flash on camera, shared dashcam footage, showing the sky above the trees suddenly illuminate

"It was amazing, I've never seen anything like it," Jenni Morrison, who saw it near Aberdeen, said. "It was like someone had switched a light on." Read more...
