Van Gogh's story has been told many times — but a new movie promises to give it new voice.

An upcoming film, described as the world's "first feature-length painted animation," will tell the story of Van Gogh, using over 120 of his own paintings. Called 'Loving Vincent,' the film, which does **t yet have a release date, will be produced by Oscar award-winners Breakthru films.*

Producers also brought in over 100 painters to create new paintings, designed in Van Gogh's very own style. These paintings were then stitched together, so that every new 1 second scene includes 12 oil paintings.*
