All week I get letters: “My God, why do you hate Rubio? Don’t you want to win?”

That’s an absurd question. On his own he doesn’t bother me any more than, say, the salesman who k**cks on the door during dinner.

I hate what Rubio represents: the Beltway crowd who uses him as their pet rat, a wispy fig leaf to cover Trump’s rise to the top. It’s ** surprise, of course. Rubio is young, ethnic, and he grew up poor. He’s got a briefing book vocabulary and ** clue what to do with the power he so desperately craves

If Russert, Halperin, and Wolfowitz joined forces to create a monster—the “real boy” of their dreams—he’d look a lot like Rubio. Read more...
