The new final frontier: getting few minutes onstage to share your deepest Star Trek thoughts.

The franchise will soon embark on an ongoing mission of sponsoring "Trek Talks" — yes, like "TED Talks" — to celebrate Trek, which first aired on CBS in 1966.

These Talks, which will be held around the country, will explore the groundbreaking ******'s indelible impactStar Trek was, for instance, the first nationally broadcast television show to feature an interracial kiss (Captain Kirk and Lieutenant Uhura did the smooching).
