Warner Bros. said Tuesday that it's expanding its global reach by acquiring SVOD service DramaFever — which has a library of 700 television, movie and music titles, including hundreds of Korean TV dramas and films — from the company's current owner, SoftBank. http://rack.2.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyM...2/4d9/ios3.png Image: DramaFever The Burbank-based company said that it's hoping the acquisition "will help the studio build new OTT capabilities and further connect with audiences." The news comes as parent company Time Warner continues to enhance its global footprint. It also recently acquired iStreamPlanet and launched SVOD services with HBO **W in the U.S., and Hollywood VIP in China, the latter in partnership with Tencent. Read more...
