Star tortoises, parakeets rescued from Crawford Mkt
 

A clutch of protected reptiles and birds was rescued during a raid conducted on two shops in Crawford Market on Friday evening. Four star tortoises, a dozen Alexandrine parakeets and four rose-ringed parakeets were found stuffed in a cage, said an animal activist who was part of the rescue team.
