Grammys 2016: Taylor Swift '1989' Wins First Award, Thanks James Taylor in Acceptance
 

The 2016 Grammys kicked off the awards in a major way on Monday (Feb. 15), with a big win for Taylor Swift. At the very beginning of the Grammys pre-telecast ceremony, Swift's 1989 beat out the competition for Best Pop Vocal Album -- and in the process of her big win, she managed to mostly pay homage to her fellow **minee James Taylor.
