The tone and te**r of the nine-page letter composed in jail by all 12 and handwritten in English by Sajid Ansari echoed myriad emotions of those at the brink of an extreme punishment, alternating between frustration, despair and a call for compassion in trying to convince them of what they claim could be the veritable truth.
