For 43 years, Vasai women keep their date with Gauri
 

Bringing home the idol of Goddess Gauri during Ganesh Chaturthi has been a ?women only? festival for the villagers of Diwanman in Vasai (west). On Saturday, the women, wearing identical saris, welcomed the goddess to the Diwanman Sarvajanik Gauri Utsav Mahila Mandal. Each of them took turns to carry the idol on her head over a 15-km stretch.
