Screening firm told to stop ops, cargo piles up at airport
Over 300 tonnes of export cargo has piled up at a warehouse at the Mumbai airport in the past 24 hours for want of an agency to carry out the mandatory security screening of these goods. The problem arose after a private company authorized to carry out the screening was ordered to put its security job functions on hold by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
