Mumbai beef ban may dim Bakrid festivities
 

Eid-ul-Adha or Bakrid, the Muslim festival which involves animal sacrifice, is less than two weeks away but the community is **t exuding much excitement. Reason? This is first Bakrid (September 25-28) after the state extended ban on cow slaughter to bulls and bullocks through Maharashtra Animal Preservation (Amendment) Bill, 1995 in March this year.
