Eugene, Oregon settles with U.S. over police hiring discrimination
PORTLAND, Ore. (Reuters) - Oregon's second-largest city has agreed to pay a civil penalty and undergo federal monitoring in a settlement over allegations it violated anti-discrimination law when hiring new police ******rs, the Justice Department said on Wednesday.
