Arterial Remodeling Tech**logies Pure Bioresorbable Scaffold Gets Green Light in Europe (VIDEO)

Arterial Remodeling Tech**logies (ART), a company based in Paris, France, landed European approval for its*ART Pure Bioresorbable Scaffold. The stent-like device was designed to slowly absorb into the body, letting go of maintaining the structural integrity of the vessel lumen after about three months and completely bioresorbing within two years. It’s made out of biodegradable polylactide (PLA), a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester commonly used in orthopedic*implants that degrades into lactic acid.

The scaffold is **t coated with rapamycin, or any other antiproliferative, unlike many similar devices, but Terumo bought the rights to the tech**logy and will be integrating ***** into the scaffolding in*future products.
