STENTYS (Paris, France) won CE mark approval for its*Xposition S sirolimus eluting coronary stent, the only self-apposing stent available on the market. The device is delivered and positioned similar to most other stents, but after placement it naturally pushes against the vessel walls. This widens the vessel lumen while the attached drug dissolves the thrombus compressed by the niti**l metal struts.
