Porto beats Basel, enters UEFA Champions League quarterfinals
 

Lisbon, March 11 (IANS) Porto has beaten Basel 4-0 at the Dragao stadium in **rthern Portuguese city Porto to ease into the European champions league quarterfinal. On Tuesday, Algeria midfielder Yacine Brahimi opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a stunning free-kick, and Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera scored in the 47th with a right-foot effort to the far corner, reported Xinhua. Brazilian midfielder Casemiro made it 3-0 in the 55th with a free-kick from 30 yards out and Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar closed the scoring with a powerful effort to the top-left corner in the 76th.
