Samsung Unveils WS80A OB/GYN Ultrasound with Elite Performance Package

The WS80A with Elite performance package helps to automate some common but challenging procedures, including helping to generate the nine standard views that are used to assess fetal heart health.

The device comes with curved 3D X-Vue transducers that promise to deliver*high sensitivity while providing a broad signal bandwidth.

The device received FDA 510(k) clearance and Samsung is already making it available to order.

Some of the features of the new*WS80A with Elite:

• 5D Heart – An in**vative application designed to simultaneously display nine standard fetal cardiac views by applying intelligent navigation tech**logy to volume datasets of the fetal heart.
• 5D CNS (Central Nervous System) – Displays six measurements (BPD, HC, OFD, Cerebellum, Posterior Fossa, Atria lateral ventricle) from three transverse views generated from a single volume of the fetal brain to enhance measurement reproducibility and streamline workflow.
• 5D Follicle – Identifies and measures multiple ovarian follicles for rapid assessment of follicular size and status during gynecology examinations.
