Sofia Vergara Really (Really) Loves Diamonds, but 'Bro-Celets'? **t As Much. Plus More Things We Learned From The Jewelry Designer
Sofia Vergara’s résumé just got a little longer. The Modern Family star, who already is the face of CoverGirl and Head & Shoulders, and who has her own fragrance and line with Kmart featuring jewelry, is adding even more*glitz to the list, launching a line with Kay Jewelers called the Sofia Vergara So Sofia collection.




If you k**w one thing about the actress, it’s that the lady loves her bling, whether on the red carpet or on the street — which is why she felt the Kay partnership was a natural next step for her brand. The collection features gold and sterling silver pieces, as well as baubles decked out with stones such as amethyst, topaz and emerald (her favorite). Vergara wanted to include “classic, wearable” colors into the collection, which she describes as “a little bit more ***y than what they’ve been doing for years, which has done great, but they wanted to do something new.” Given her expertise, we had to grill her about her jewelry mantra, her take on the “bro-celet” trend and more.

Are they really a girl’s best friend?

Totally! And if you find a guy who gives them to you then he should be your best friend.

How many pieces of jewelry are you wearing right **w?

Right **w, earrings — I always have them on — a necklace from this collection and a ring. I’m **t afraid of putting [a lot of jewelry on]. If you let me go out on my own, I’ll look like a Christmas tree!

What’s the heaviest piece of jewelry you’ve ever worn?

A pair of Lorraine Schwartz earrings that were killing me the whole night. But they were so beautiful and amazing that I didn’t care. I’m like, “I’ll suffer, give them to me!”

Be honest, how do you feel about the ‘bro-celet’ trend?

It depends. I think there are some guys that can totally carry jewelry, so I don’t mind, if it looks good on the person.
