In EU first, Sweden to recognise Palestine as independent state

Berlin, Oct 30 (IANS/EFE) Sweden will officially recognise Palestine as an independent state, the first European Union (EU) member to do so, the Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter reported, citing Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom.
