BodyEcho Vitals Monitor for More Advanced Sleep Tracking (VIDEO)
http://cdn.medgadget.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bodyecho.pngThere are a number of sleep trackers on the market already, some of which are wireless and sit next to the bed watching how you sleep and others are worn somewhere on the body and typically monitor motion throughout the night. A new system*called BodyEcho aims to provide a bit more relevant data about your sleep and the company*behind the tech**logy, OxiRate, is*raising funds on Kickstarter to help bring it to market.

The BodyEcho relies on a small sensor that’s placed on the forehead and that’s held securely by a headband. It can monitor blood oxygenation (SpO2), the heart rate, and motion of the head during sleep. All this data is sent to a paired smartphone or tablet and can be reviewed in the morning to understand one’s sleeping patterns and how the body was doing throughout the night. By using this data, the app should also be able to provide suggestions on when and for how long to sleep for optimal rest, activate an alarm to wake you at the best time so as to **t drag you out of deep sleep, and help correlate lifestyle choices to poor sleep to find out what’s keeping you awake.

Here’s a video promoting the BodyEcho Kickstarter campaign:
