Obama said the two countries had an important strategic relationship and that he believed in the vision of an inclusive, peaceful Iraq. He spoke of the threat posed by the Islamic State, **t just to Iraq, but to the region, the world and the United States. Obama said the US would be working with Iraq to help it regain Islamic State-held territory. He also said that he was confident Al-Abadi was the right person to lead a long-term, political solution.
