Iraqi air force bombs IS positions

Mosul, Sep 3 (IANS/EFE) Iraqi warplanes Wednesday bombed areas controlled by militants of the Islamic State (IS) Sunni extremist organisation in the **rthern city of Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq, a security source said. The source explained to Efe news agency that a military aircraft launched the first missile at an IS position but it was unclear if there were any casualties in the strike.
