Girl commits suicide after being gang-raped

BUREWALA: An 18-year-old girl committed suicide after being raped by three youths at Chak 146/EB.
The daughter of Muhammad Akram was on her way when Rashid along with his two unidentified accomplices allegedly abducted her. The accused took her to the nearby fields where they allegedly raped her. When she came to her house, she narrated the incident to her parents. Later, she drank drug-mixed milk and fell unconscious. She was shifted to the THQ Hospital where she died. Police have handed over the body to the family for burial after autopsy. Police have arrested the three accused and started investigations.
ANTI-ENCROACHMENT DRIVE: Assistant Commissioner Saifullah Sajid launched an anti-encroachment drive and ******* encroachments from a park on Mian Channu Road here on Thursday.
The assistant commissioner along with the anti-encroachment staffers reached the park where some shopkeepers had encroached on a roadside along the park wall, which was causing hindrance to flow of traffic. The TMA officials ******* all encroachments from there.
