PESHAWAR: Though the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is claiming that it has ** intention of ousting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its allies from the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl have become hyperactive to do so in a bid to capture power in the province.

Auragzeb Nalota, a PML-N MPA from Abbottabad, said his party had **t taken any decision to oust the PTI-headed provincial government. He said the PML-N wanted the government to complete its term and deliver on its promises made to the electorate in the May 2013 general election.

A**ther PML-N MPA, Saleh Mohammad, who was elected from Mansehra, told the members of the media that he and his fellow lawmakers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were waiting for guideline and decision from the party’s central leadership before making a move.

He said a group of dissidents in the PTI with 18 MPAs could revolt against their party leadership and join the opposition to form the new coalition government in the province. However, he said the priority for the opposition parties was to save the provincial assembly from dissolution at the hands of the ruling PTI.

Meanwhile, the JUI-F has spearheaded efforts to file the **-confidence motion against Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat. Its MPAs claimed the move was aimed at saving the assembly from dissolution. However, the party head Maulana Fazlur Rahman and its MPAs have never tried to hide their desire to oust the PTI government and replace it with one of their own in province.

They have been pushing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to make up his mind so that the JUI-F and PML-N could lead the **-trust move against the chief minister with help from Aftab Sherpao’s QWP and the smaller parties such as ANP and PPP.

However, Nawaz Sharif until **w has resisted the offer, but Imran Khan’s aggressive attitude towards the Prime Minister could eventually prompt him to give the green signal to the JUI-F to make the move to oust the PTI’s government in the province.
