Shoura awaits study on salary parity

The Shoura Council is awaiting a government study that will consider bringing parity in salaries of Saudi government employees with salaries in the Gulf states. A high level source in the Shoura Council has denied any direct involvement of the council in any study, while other sources have said a government body is conducting the study and it will be submitted to the council for review and implementation. Shoura Council member Dr. Thorayya Al-Eraidh assured that a study is being conducted to change the salary scale of government employees but refused to give any information about the entity in question.
