Over the past two years, corporate profits in the Gulf have risen as eco**mies have recovered from the global financial crisis, which triggered property market crashes and a string of debt restructurings in the region. This boosted stock markets sharply. Companies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar are starting to an**unce second-quarter earnings this week, and they will be followed in the next few weeks by firms from the United Arab Emirates.
