Rousing welcome to Algerian soccer team back home

Algiers, July 3 (IANS) The Algerian soccer team received a "hero's welcome" upon their arrival at the Houari Boumediene International Airport here, following their impressive performance in the World Cup in Brazil. The team, captained by Madjid Bouguerra, was welcomed Wednesday by top government officials, including Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and Sport Minister Mohamed Tahmi, reports Xinhua. The team along with Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhozic drove in an open-top bus to the President's ******. Along their way, the national team received a rousing welcome in the crowded streets.
