</p>JAZZ musicians â?? including the Royle familyâ??s Ricky Tomlinson â?? raised more than آ£9,000 for the Red Cross appeal for Haiti.
Held at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton, Wirral, more than 15 jazz groups played and a guest appearance by Ricky Tomlinson on the banjo entertained the 800-strong crowd.
In total they raised آ£9,631 which will go towards helping the people of Haiti recover since the earthquake devastated the country.
Alexis Fairclough, fundraising manager, Merseyside said: â??You should never underestimate the generosity of the Merseyside people.â?*
