</p>SIR Paul McCartney wowed the crowd at last nightâ??s sell-out homecoming gig â?? before giving away free chips to hungry fans.
Sir Paul, who belted out Beatles hits to fans, family and friends, also doled out free tea and coffee to warm up the 1,000-strong audience as they braved freezing temperatures on the way home from the intimate 02 Academy gig.
Tickets for the show sold out in less than six seconds when released last month.
Some fans paid up to آ£400 a ticket for the two-and-a-half hour gig, several travelling from overseas, despite the wretched weather conditions
The last leg of a year-long tour, the gig was Maccaâ??s chance to pay tribute to his former Beatles bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison, playing out hits Give Peace A Chance and Something in their honour.
He then went to party the night away with friends at a secret location.
