James Corden has revealed whether he regrets taking part in Cats and the answer is… kind of.
Last year’s all-star musical was widely canned by audiences and critics â?? Digital Spy thought it was bizarre, calling it “every bit as baffling, weird and horrifying as you expected” â?? and now the cast are being asked for their thoughts on the project.
The Gavin & Stacey star, who played Bustopher Jones in the Andrew Lloyd Webber adaptation, told Justin Bieber during a game of Spill Your Guts on the Late Late Show that it actually wasn’t all bad.

It took me six days and I loved every single second of it,” he said.
“So I think you’ve got to be careful not to… You’ve got to decide things on your own personal experience, and I had a really great time.
“So, I don’t regret doing it all, because I decided to do it in the same way I decided to do many things. Some have worked, some haven’t. So I’m going to put it at a solid 5 [out of 10].”
He did change his score a moment later to a 4.5, but still, at least it wasn’t a zero, eh?
The film did get a slightly more updated version with better CGI after the reviews started flooding in (though it didn’t make the film any more successful).
Anyway, the moral of the story is, while it might not have been fun for anyone else, at least the actors enjoyed themselves at the Jellicle Ball.
