</p>Olly Murs, Sue Johnston and John Bishop were among the celebrities who joined young hospital patients at a fundraising ball to raise more than آ£1.6m for Alder Hey Childrenâ??s Charity.
Jamie Carragher, Kenny Dalglish, Julian Fellowes, Asmir Begovic, John Barnes and Jon Wilkin also attended to help to raise cash for lifesaving equipment.
The event was moved from the atrium of the rebuilt hospital due to high winds and relocated to the groundâ??s of the president of Alder Hey Childrenâ??s Charity, The Countess of Derbyâ??s home, Knowsley Hall.
Guests were treated to performances by Katherine Jenkins, upcoming star Rosenblume and band The Soul Jets.
John Bishop was so moved he joined Jamie Carragher on stage for an impromptu performance to show just how much the hospital meant to them and their families.

Alder Hey patient Grace Lee also took to the stage to sing the Bill Witherâ??s hit Lean on Me and received a standing ovation.
The nine-year-old was joined by another Young Charity Ambassador Ted McCaffery, who received the 2014 Pride of Britain Award for Young Fundraiser of the Year from Olly Murs in October last year.
The audience bid towards hospital equipment without any luxury prizes and each donation will be recognised in a Wall of Fame in the new Alder Hey in the Park.
Four new major pieces of lifesaving equipment will now be secured for the hospital, which is set to open later this year.
