</p>Carol Vorderman spoke of how Cilla Blackâ??s funeral will be a â??celebration of her life, and what a lifeâ?* after arriving in Liverpool for the service.
The Countdown legend and Pride of Britain presenter is in the city and will be attending the funeral at St Maryâ??s Church in Woolton, which begins at 1pm.
Ms Vorderman tweeted: â??In Liverpool for Cillaâ??s funeral… It will be a very sad day, but it is a celebration of her life, and what a life that was.â?*
Other stars set to attend the funeral include Sir Tom Jones, Sir Cliff Richard and Baron Andrew Lloyd Webber, along with close friends Christopher Biggins and Paul Oâ??Grady.
Hundreds of well-wishers are expected to line the two-mile route of the funeral cortege as it makes its way along Woolton Road from 12.15pm.
DJ and TV presenter Tommy Sandhu, who found fame after appearing as a contestant on Blind Date â?? and later replaced â??Our Grahamâ?* as announcer on the final series of the show â?? earlier spoke to the BBC about how today will be a â??Cilla-brationâ?*.
He said: â??This is someone who just had a smile with her wherever she went and that rubbed off on everybody all round her.
â??Thatâ??s why everyone loved her.
â??Last night a few of us were gathered at the hotel nearby where the service is going to take place.
â??I was with Paul Oâ??Grady, Tarbuckâ??s there, Biggins is there and itâ??s laughter, thereâ??s laughter around.
â??You kind of go, â??itâ??s sadâ??, and then as soon as you start thinking about her you think of a funny story because those are the memories, she was just someone who created good times.
â??I kind of want today to be a celebration, a Cilla-bration, and we all come away sharing all the fun times she gave us.â?*
Meanwhile Chris Oâ??Dell, a former executive producer on Blind Date, told the BBC: â??I hope that sheâ??s looking down at us today with a smile on her face, Iâ??d like to think with Bobby by her side and smiling with her friends and family as we say goodbye.â?*
