iWatch Production Could Start in July for October Release

A**ther day, a**ther iWatch (http://mashable.com/category/iwatch/?utm_medium=feed&utm_source=rss) rumor. The latest news comes courtesy of Reuters, which reports that Taiwan's Quanta Computer Inc. will be mass producing Apple's long-rumored smartwatch this July.
According to Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/06/19/us-apple-smartwatch-idUSKBN0EU2AU20140619), the smartwatch will have a 2.5-inch display and will be "slightly rectangular." The Reuters source says that the face will "protrude slightly from the band," have a touch screen (natch) and charge wirelessly.

The source says Apple is expecting to ship 50 million of these devices in the product's first year of release.
