When I was a kid, I was quiet and a bit of an introvert. When I started out in the business world, I was an awkward 15-year-old kid who hadn't yet grown comfortable in his 6'4" frame. And although in my world today I enjoy connecting with people, speaking on the telephone (including cold calling), I remember how tough it can be for someone who may not naturally be outwardly focused.
