Andy Warhol's favorite band, the Velvet Underground, is already preparing a box set to honor the upcoming fiftieth anniversary of its excellent debut album White Light White Heat from 1969. Other bands can begin their fiftieth anniversary now that the calendar has reached 2018, including records from The Beatles, the Monkees and Cream. Among the many albums turning fifty this year are almost a dozen debut records, most of which are self-titled.
